The Business Events Council of Australia (BECA) developed a coordinated COVID-19 Business Events Recovery & Rebound Framework that has guided our work since the global pandemic hit. It has been continually reviewed to incorporate industry input over time and has contributed significantly to our ongoing engagement with Government – aimed at introducing appropriate and effective support for the industry.
This next survey is likely the most important yet, as the Commonwealth Government contemplates the need for ongoing industry-specific support arrangements from April 2021 onwards. The results will also help inform State Governments of the state of the industry.
We need your help to strengthen our evidence base around the current state of the industry and its future prospects.
If you are an employer, freelancer or contractor representing an organisation or individual associated with the valuable supply chain that contributes to the creation and delivery of business events (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) throughout Australia – we need to hear from you and urge you to complete this brief survey.
This survey aims to:
- Assess the current operating environment for business events businesses, including how you have managed your staffing arrangements.
- The impact of government support mechanisms and those that will best assist you during 2021-22.
- Measure the level of business confidence and future business expectations.
Please ensure this is sent to the most appropriate person to complete the survey within your business so that it can be completed by 24 February 2021.
This request has been sent to members of BECA’s industry associations (AACB, EEAA, MEA, PCOA and the Convention & Exhibition Centre Group) and to the broader industry across social media.
We appreciate your ongoing support to help us inform our Government leaders.
