February 2011 - Tourism Projects Grants Applications Open

FEBRUARY 2011:  AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT OPENS APPLICATIONS FOR TOURISM PROJECT GRANTS (TQUAL)

The total amount under the Grants project is $40 million over four years.  Applications for funding under the TQUAL Grants - Tourism Quality Projects are for Australian Government support of up to $100,000 for smaller-scale projects to stimulate private sector investment in the community.

 “With Government funding matched dollar for dollar with private sector investment, the TQUAL Grants program will inject over $80 million into the tourism sector over the next four years,” Tourism Minister Martin Ferguson said.                      

Applications will close on 15 April 2011 with announcements of successful projects by mid 2011.
